Includes a Latin version (Salamanca, 1589) of Acosta's Historia natural y moral de las Indias, first published in Spanish in Seville in 1590. The narrative of Sebalt de Weert's voyage was written by B.Jansz and was first published in Amsterdam. The editor and publisher, Zacharias Heyns, has sometimes been credited with the work. It was translated into German and then into Latin by the De Brys. An account of Olivier van Noort's voyage was published in 1602 by Cornelis Claesz., later translated into German from which the De Brys printed a Latin version
Each successive section following the first has a printed t.p. with the imprint: Francofvrti : Excvdebat Matthaeus Beckervs, M.DCII. De Bry's widow and sons, Johann Theodor and Johann Israel are included
